Position Summary
We currently have our registered office in Chennai and the base location of this role is in Chennai. However, in the current global situation we are flexible with working arrangements from other remote locations. In a safer future, some of our jobs may have a need to work out of office sites that we operate.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Understand, design, and automate the process to improve system performance, reliability and reduce toil.
- Being responsible for Incident / Problem Management, Release Management, Change Control, Monitoring among other areas.
- Explore new build tools/libraries to improve reliability of the system/services.
- Ability to provide in-depth evaluation and analysis of unique complex technological issues.
- Ability to take complete ownership of products or services with a view to continuously improve operational efficiency, elasticity and reliability of high volumes and mission critical cloud-based systems.
- Identify and address patterns in infrastructure and applications that can be solved with a common solution among the products.
- Report problems and participate in related root cause analysis or incident post-mortems.
- Provide analysis of poor performance and instabilities identified in systems.
- Support continuous release promotion cycle (through automation) including the following environments: Development, Testing, UAT, Pre-prod and Production.
- Actively monitor and administer the applications and hosting environment to increase efficiency, improve reliability, and minimize downtimes.
- Participate on documenting Devops process & procedures.
- High interaction with cross functional teams and work with them closely to achieve business goals.
- Contribute to security compliance for the organization, security monitoring & audits.
- Should be flexible to work on rotational shifts(24X7) & on-call support.
Experience and competencies
- 1 – 3 years of relevant work experience in SRE/Devops.
- Strong knowledge and experience of Unix/Linux based operating systems.
- Good understanding of Incident Management process.
- Good at debugging the issues and root cause analysis.
- Knowledge in AWS Cloud services & SDKs.
- Good understanding of Devops tools Git, Jenkins, Ansible, Docker, Terraform.
- Experience in Python, Shell scripting.
- Basic knowledge in CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong in Devops methodologies and processes.
- Strong knowledge in Databases MySQL / PostgreSQL/ Mongo.
- Good knowledge in log management process & tools like ELK, Datadog, etc.
- Expertise in Infrastructure & Application monitoring tools like, Datadog, Newrelic, ELK, etc.
